My Favorite Wedding Venue in Every State
The U.S. has some of the most amazing wedding venues in the world! I've scoured the internet and I've brought you my favorite wedding venue in each state. Did your favorites make the list?
Are you getting married at one of the locations below? Well, you've found your planner - give me a call!!
Alabama
Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms
Photo by Eric and Jamie Photo
Does anyone else get wine country vibes? Pair that with towering oaks, a stunning pond, and southern hospitality and I am totally sold! The home was originally built in 1852 and has been restored beautifully. There are several options for both ceremony and reception which makes my planner heart sing!
Alaska
Snow Peak Farms
If you get married in Alaska without a stunning Mountain View does it even happen? Snow Peak Farms boasts some of the prettiest mountain views I have ever seen with a reception in a nearby sail cloth tent. Obviously, you've only got a short amount of time to have an outdoor wedding in Alaska but when the views are this good you won't want to wait anyways.
Arizona
El Chorro
What's better than a historic venue with stunning desert mountain views? How about a delicious seasonal and local meal created by some of the best chefs in the area. The grounds and grove create a natural feel that's different from the typical desert landscape. El Chorro has several options for ceremonies and receptions to perfectly fit your wedding size and aesthetic.
Arkansas
Moss Mountain Farms
Photo by Weddings by Christopher and Nancy
You had me at hidden garden, especially those lush peonies. This little slice of heaven is outside Little Rock but your guests will be transported to the English countryside with this farmstead garden. There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies on this property so your portraits will be unreal! I love how intimate this venue feels, it is just begging for a garden party wedding!
California
Rancho Las Lomas
We all know how big the state of California is so finding one venue out of the thousands and thousands of stunning options is basically impossible. BUT! I do have a personal favorite that is very near and dear to my heart: my own wedding venue! We fell in love with Rancho Las Lomas for it's unique elements, family-owned vibe, and beautiful natural setting. I'm happily taking the cop-out on this one ;)
Colorado
The Little Nell
Does it get any more iconic than a mountain top wedding in Aspen? The Little Nell's wedding deck and overlook are an absolutely breathtaking place to exchange vows. The beauty of the mountains is everywhere you look including the indoor reception space.
Connecticut
Mayflower Inn & Spa
This cedar shake aesthetic is so quintessentially New England! The Mayflower Inn is an Auberge resort so you know there's top-notch luxury at every turn. Guests can wake up to a relaxing massage then take a stroll through the gardens before attending your stunning wedding in the event tent on-site. Talk about a wonderful day!
Delaware
Winterthur Museum and Country Estate
This venue literally has everything! The grounds have beautifully landscaped gardens, reflecting pool, many pavilions and courtyards, and last but not least the historical architecture of the main property. But the pretty doesn't end at the front doors, the inside is a stunning museum with stonework all over, formal ballrooms, and the luxury of a museum. I could spend allll day wandering around this property!
Florida
The Breakers Palm Beach
Glam, luxury, palatial, ornate... do I need to go on? The Breakers is synonymous with extravagant and luxurious weddings. The entire resort is start to finish luxury. Your guests will feel like they are spending a weekend with royalty when attending your wedding weekend here. Million dollar budget? You're in the right spot.
Georgia
The Mackey House
Forrest Gump vibes in the best way! Nestled in a grove of Spanish moss clad oak trees, The Mackey House brings southern hospitality to the forefront. Wedding guests will immediately feel at home and crave a spiked sweet tea as soon as they step foot on the wrap-around porch. The covered pavilion is perfect for a summer evening reception.
Hawaii
Haiku Mill
Normally when you dream of Hawaii you think of pristine beaches with towering green mountains in the background and hula skirts rustling in the wind. The reason I love Haiku Mill is because it's not really any of that. It's an intimate venue located in the ruins of a 150 year old sugar mill, you're taken back in time to old Hawaii. Guests will love it, too because it's situated next to the Road to Hana, one of Maui's best attractions.
Idaho
Sun Valley Resort
Mountain views in a luxe resort town - need I say more? The Sun Valley area is gorgeous year 'round and your guests will love spending time checking out all the activities the location has to offer. With many indoor and outdoor event options you'll be able to create the perfect wedding day for your loved ones and give them the true mountain wedding experience.
Illinois
The Field Museum
C'mon, it doesn't get more classic than this! The only other thing you'll need is red hots and deep dish on your buffet line. The museum reception space begs for super tall centerpieces and grand lighting. There's an outside ceremony location with sweeping downtown skyline views so you truly get the best downtown Chicago experience. Plus, I'd love to dine next to an elephant (they are my favorite animals) so dibs on that table!
Indiana
INDUSTRY
I love venues that you don't have to do too much to make it look awesome. INDUSTRY's raw brick walls and industrial design is perfect for the urban, city-loving couple who have a ton of loved ones. The space is wide open both physically and aesthetically.
Iowa
Little Lights on the Lane
Modern farmhouse dreams come true with Little Lights on the Lane! This beautiful, estate-like wedding venue is perfect for today's couples. The contrasting black and white architecture is perfect mix of contemporary and rustic. The name might be a little odd, but the finishes are beautiful.
Kansas
The Farms at Woodend Springs

The soft gray of the exterior paired with the contemporary farmhouse style of the interior make this a perfect location for the Kansas couple. The venue has a large inventory of rentals to choose from that will elevate and complement your wedding aesthetic.
Kentucky
Hermitage Farm
Hermitage Farm just begs itself for a fall soiree! The shady trees surrounding the historic grounds and tent create such a warm, inviting atmosphere. Also, and because "when in Kentucky", there is a bourbon experience and many horse-related activities you can ad onto your wedding weekend to treat your guests to.
Louisiana
Race + Religious
The juxtaposition of the old brick walls, the quintessential balconies, and landscaping at Race + Religious create the most amazing space for a wedding. New Orleans is known for it's architecture just as much as it's jazz, food, and party atmosphere so you can really create an amazing experience at this venue for all your loved ones.
Maine
French's Point
Ohhh the dreams I've had about lobster rolls. Getting married in Maine means embracing the New England style, the ocean, and soaking in all the sunshine the short summer provides. French's Point is an oceanfront private estate that will make your wedding feel intimate and luxe. Up to 26 of your loved ones get to stay on-site at the property to make it even more special.
Maryland
The Inn at Perry Cabin
Crab cakes and football....and awesome weddings - that's what Maryland does! Can you imagine getting married at the stunning estate where they filmed "Wedding Crashers"? All of your Maryland favorites of east coast charm, boating, and seafood are all here at The Inn at Perry Cabin. Beyond the fabulous wedding spaces the resort itself has beautiful guest rooms and lots of activities for your guests.
Massachusetts
The Boston Public Library
Getting married to your best friend in front of your most loved ones surrounded by millions of books?! THIS IS MY DREAM! With an iconic location like a grand public library your guests will be wowed and treated to a unique experience. You can also do some really cool wow moments with flowers and lighting. Plus they have a gorgeous outdoor garden ceremony location. Someone please let me design their wedding here!
Michigan
Planterra Conservatory
If you would have asked me where the prettiest venue in Michigan would be I would have put my money on a beautiful lakefront location. However, this amazing greenhouse stole my heart! A fully glassed-in enclosure within a botanical garden is such a cool, fun, and exciting place to host your wedding. Not your typical industrial or garden wedding but a fun combo of both.
Minnesota
Mill City Museum
I am originally from Minnesota so I've had years to review all the pretty venues in the state. I had a few in mind but I always come back to the Mill City Museum because of it's uniqueness in a downtown setting. The ruins of the mill are right on the river and next to some of the best restaurants and sites that downtown Minneapolis has to offer.
Mississippi
The Jefferson
I love a venue with tons of options for ceremony and reception locations. The Jefferson has multiple indoor and outdoor options including a water feature. I love the raw brick and rustic details that are still formal and classy.
Missouri
Union Station
Since I'm now a KCMO resident it's hard not to pick the most iconic KC area building, Union Station. I love the grandeur, the history (google the mob shoot-outs!), and the KC pride that just oozes out of this building. Such a luxe and perfect place to host your wedding reception. Plus, you're close to a bunch of my favorite bars and restaurants for some post-reception fun!
Montana
Sage Lodge
"Wiiiiiide open spaaaaces!" That's what I'm singing when I see these beautiful ceremony views of Sage Lodge. Montana has some of the most expansive mountain views (they call it Big Sky Country for a reason) so if you're looking to get married in the area you MUST have a stunning view like this. Sage Lodge can host all of your guests on-site and setup fun activities to make a true wedding weekend retreat for your loved ones.
Nebraska
Hotel Deco
I love the styling all over this hotel. Mid-mod meets contemporary. It's so different from your "normal" hotel vibes. Plus, it's downtown Omaha so you have got the city at your fingertips for more photo ops and creating a fun wedding weekend for your guests.
Nevada
Edgewood Tahoe Resort
Praise Dolly Parton that there's more to Nevada than Vegas! Lakes don't get much prettier than the clear blue Lake Tahoe. There are also some amazing resorts, like Edgewood, on the Nevada side of the lake. Just look at that ceremony location! Plus, their indoor reception space has some amazing views, too.
New Hampshire
Wentworth by the Sea

This resort reminds me of Victorian era vintage postcards from sea vacations. I love the historic architecture and the New England waterfront setting. I don't know much about New Hampshire but this looks like a fun place to spend a wedding weekend!
New Jersey
Ellis Island
Imagine sweeping city and waterfront views, centuries of history, and a grand, formal ballroom. That's exactly what you get with Ellis Island! It would be so epic to start your new life together as a married couple where so many people started their new lives as Americans. For extra brownie points, treat your guests for a ferry ride to get to your wedding venue.

I know, I know, there are a million venue options in the state of New York! I looove a good upstate or Hamptons moment but to me it always comes back to the city. 620 Loft and Garden gives you both city and nature. It's intimate but in the heart of the city. I think it's the perfect blend of everything!

A quintessential white barn for that modern farmhouse look. This venue is great because it is spacious, flexible, and neutral. You can embrace the more rustic style or bring in your own unique aesthetic.

Oregon
Cathedral Park
I have always loved this venue! It stops me in my scrolls every time I see it. Yes, this is a ceremony only venue but I don't care, I love it. Portland is one of the prettiest and most interesting places I've visited in the U.S. so of course this venue reflects that, too.
Pennsylvania
Cairnwood Estate

If you have gotten this far in the post you know I love historic, luxe, palatial properties and Cairnwood is 100% all of those! From a beautifully restored interior to the Gatsby-esque patio that fits a clear top tent perfectly. Guests will feel fancy AF attending your wedding here.

Designed to resemble the garden estate at Versailles, there's no corner of this property that isn't pure luxury. If you can tear your eyes away from the stunning interior you'll notice the property is right on the ocean with stunning, unobstructed views of that beautiful water. Anyone else get Gatsby vibes?

Rustic but beautiful. The soaring rafters of the barn are perfect for draping and lighting over your reception! The grounds are filled with nicely finished elements like cocktail hour patios with fire pits, green grass fields for your ceremony, and orchards for intimate portraits.
Tennessee
Blackberry Farm
This is one of the most atmospheric venues around. It has that foggy, natural look of Scotland with the high quality of food and wine like Napa, and the quiet retreat of the mountains. If you are looking for a luxurious retreat style wedding for your loved ones then look no further, this is the place!
Texas
Barr Mansion
It's no secret that I have planned a lot of weddings in Texas. This makes it hard to pick a favorite and not ruffle my friends feathers. So, I'm going with a venue that I haven't had the chance to work at but have always wanted to! Austin is one of my favorite cities in the U.S. and I think it's a perfect place for a Texas wedding. Barr Mansion pairs a historical home with a modern greenhouse style barn with farm-to-table food.
Utah
The Blue Sky Lodge
When you think of Park City, Utah you think of mountain views and luxe ski resorts. So it's no surprise that my favorite wedding venue is both of those. I love Blue Sky Lodge because it's an Auberge resort so you'll get five star luxury but it's also charming with rustic elements, natural features, and intimate spaces. No matter the season you will have a stunning wedding at this venue.

It's my ultimate goal in life to own a huge property (location TBD) that is part craft brewery, part Christmas tree farm, part wedding venue. So, Trinity Tree Farm is almost there! The grounds are stunning with all of the evergreen trees but the indoor spaces are also beautiful. The location is not far from Seattle so you are not far from other fun wedding weekend activities.
